Research Policy

Research, Innovation and extension are the fundamental activities of any academic institution to achieve excellence in the field of education. Conceptualizing the importance of promoting creative learning and scientific temperament among students, the S.L. Bawa D.A.V. College , Batala strives to arrange for conferences, seminars, workshops, webinars and discourses on various subjects by inviting experts from different fields. Regular curriculum for students involves project work reports to enhance their writing skills. An ecosystem of innovation and research exists in the college since many faculty members opted for higher education and pursued their doctorate. A research policy has been laid by the college to give a direction to the research activities.

• Financial assistance maximum of Rs 1000/- per person per year for registration in conference or seminar/publication and granting duty leave as per ruling of DPI/internal audit.
• Organizing FDP/workshop/conference for academic research related growth (at least one per semester)
• The Research and Development cell will provide guidance for Ph.D/Paper Publications/ Major/Minor research projects.
• The Research and Development cell will try to collaborate/ signs MoUs with Research Institute/ Industries/ NGOs
• The Research and Development cell will ensure the circulation of various seminars/ conferences/ webinars being organized in this institution or by other institution of the region.
