Workshop on Fire Fighting Services by Civil Defence and Fire Department

NCC Department of S.L.Bawa DAV Colllege, Batala organized a workshop on firefighting services in collaboration with the Civil Defence Department and Fire Department of the city on the occasion of 58^th Raising Day of the Civil Defence and Home Guard. 50 cadets and staff of the college participated in the workshop. Post Warden, Civil Defence, Batala Mr. Harbaksh Singh briefed the cadets about the history and importance of the Civil Defence in preparing the citizens of the country in case of any natural or man-made calamity. He also persuaded the cadets for joining Civil Defence as volunteers. Fire Officer Onkar Singh told the audience about the different types of fire, its reasons and ways to control the fire. Employees of the Fire Department conducted the firefighting drill afterwords.
